Appellate Practice

Pierson Law has almost two decades of experience writing and arguing complex civil, criminal and administrative appellate matters.  Ms. Pierson’s precise and comprehensible style has earned appellate success and garnered credibility with state and federal courts at all levels.  Ms. Pierson began her legal career as a law clerk to the Honorable J.L. Edmondson on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.  Ms. Pierson has continued to develop her appellate expertise throughout her career, and she has served as an Adjunct for Appellate Advocacy and the Appellate Clinics at the University of Georgia School of Law for over a decade.

Pierson Law’s appellate practice includes not only handling direct state and federal appeals of trial court and intermediate appellate judgments, but it also includes appellate review of agency administrative action.  She has significant and successful appellate experience in the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, and the Georgia Court of Appeals.   Pierson Law also provides legal and strategic counseling to clients on a range of constitutional, statutory, and regulatory issues.
